GREENSBORO, Ga. — The City of Greensboro and the Greensboro Main Street Program announce that the annual Pickin’ on the Greene summer concert originally scheduled for June 19, 2020, will not take place due to the ongoing bans on large gatherings.

After closely monitoring the COVID-19 Pandemic and based on Georgia’s guidelines, a decision was made to call off the event. This decision was not made lightly, but is necessary to keep the staff, volunteers and community safe.

“We are disappointed to not be able to bring this event to Downtown Greensboro,” says Ivy Smith, Greensboro Main Street’s Event Coordinator and Content Creator. “But we believe this is the best decision for the safety of our community.”

The 2020 Pickin’ on the Greene event may have been canceled, but the date has already been set for next year! Mark your calendars for the 10th annual Pickin’ on the Greene on June 18, 2021.

The Greensboro Main Street Program is working hard to provide timely and continuous updates to help keep everyone safe and informed during this time. Many changes are being made throughout downtown to ensure a safe and happy experience when you visit.
