The Greene County Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce the following July 2020 Greene County Chamber of Commerce Business and Employee of the Month. The following recipients have been selected based on their exemplary contributions of service and community involvement in Greene County and the surrounding area. 

Business of the Month – WWDK-FM, Dock 103.9 

WDDK-FM, Dock 103.9 is operated by

partner and general manager Chip

Lyness. Dock 103.9 can be heard in

Greene, Putnam, Morgan, Hancock and

Baldwin counties. WDDK is also a member of the Oconee Radio Group, a conglomerate of five separate radio stations located in Georgia’s Lake Country. 

WDDK-FM General Manager, Chip Lyness, is a member of the Georgia Radio Hall of Fame and a great booster of our community. Chip and Dock 103.9 support the community with radio updates and programs focused on activities around Lake Oconee. Special programing, like “Community Spotlight” with Doug Hesse and Chip’s “That’s some of what’s Happening at the Greene County Board of Education” updates are two of his most appreciated and listened to programs. Not to mention, the weekly play-by-play broadcasts during the Greene County High School football season. Greene County and Georgia’s Lake Country are fortunate to have such dedication from station manager Chip Lyness and WDDK-FM. 

Employee of the Month – Charlie Conner

The Ritz-Carlton Reynolds, Lake Oconee 

Charlie Conner has been an employee at The Ritz-Carlton Reynolds Lake Oconee since 2002. He exemplifies Gold Standards and is a true Lady of The Ritz-Carlton. She leads by example and is a dedicated, committed leader of The Ritz-Carlton brand and our community. 

He is heavily involved in the Ritz-Carlton branded “Community Footprints” initiatives which focus on giving back

to local charities. One of the largest events The Ritz-Carlton Reynolds Lake Oconee does, led by Conner, is the annual golf tournament each August called The Ritz Classic, when Ritz- 

Carlton vendors/distributors come together for a day of fun and contribution. Last year the event raised over $60K for local charities.
