Greene County Toastmasters Club recently inducted a new member, Anna Richmond.

Toastmaster Richmond is originally from Portsmouth, Va., and now resides in Greensboro, Ga, with her beautiful 2-and-a-half-year-old daughter, Eliza.

She has been employed by Amici Italian Café (with 10 locations, one in Parkside Commons, Greensboro) since 2011 and is currently in their management development program. In an interview, she said, “Originally, my sole goal in joining Toastmasters was to become a general manager at my place of business. It has since morphed into something bigger and more substantial, which is to become more self-assured, overcome my stage fright, and be involved in a new community of people. Also, to feel like I can lead with confidence!”

Richmond has certainly selected the right organization to achieve her goals!

Toastmasters is a ‘Learn by Doing’ organization where members proceed at their own pace. Whether you’re new to giving speeches or are a seasoned speaker, Toastmasters will help you hone your skills. Are you TERRIFIED of speaking to a group? We will provide the mentor and tools for you to take baby-steps to your own comfort level. Are you already a SEASONED SPEAKER? We will give you a platform to polish your skills and practice your speeches before giving them!

Toastmasters is open to anyone eighteen or older who is interested in improving their speaking and leadership abilities. Meetings are currently being held virtually on Zoom and guests are always welcomed and encouraged. The next regular meeting will be Jan. 12, 2021, beginning at 6 p.m. sharp.
