The Greene County Food Pantry was recently presented a check from 100 Women Who Care Lake Country.  

The check for $8,000 is greatly appreciated especially during this pandemic to supply fresh fruit and vegetables to families in need in Greene County.

100 Women Who Care Lake Country is a group of ladies who are interested in supporting this community by contributing to Lake Country charities together as a group to increase the impact. They meet quarterly to nominate various local charities, and then choose the one that needs help the most.  

Each member then writes a $100 check to support the chosen charity. 

The Greene County Food Pantry is a 501©3 non-profit charity located in the heart of Greensboro Public Housing that supports families living or working in Greene County and need assistance with food.  They serve over 500 families a month representing more than 1000 individuals.
