The Greene County Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce the May 2021 Greene County Chamber of Commerce Employee of the Month.
The following recipient has been selected based on their exemplary contributions of service and community involvement in Greene County and the surrounding area.
Employee of the Month
Laurie Rimes at Harbor Club Lake Oconee
Laurie has been with Harbor Club for over 23 years! She started with Harbor Club manning the Beverage Cart on the golf course when she was just 20 years old, later moving on to the Pro Shop, and then on to Administrative Assistant in the main office before landing her current position in Accounts Receivable.
“Laurie’s wealth of knowledge and history of the Harbor Club community makes her an invaluable asset. She has shown patience and diligence in assisting club members and new neighbors during her career,” said Brandon Matney, vice president of Harbor Club on Lake Oconee. “My family and I
appreciate her long-term commitment to Harbor Club and its residents.”
Long-time Harbor Club residents Jimmy Wallace and Debbie Rigdon nominated Laurie for the award.
“Laurie is always friendly and helpful,” effused Wallace. “I always take time to stop by her office to say hello and see how she is doing.”
“Laurie is a great young lady,” added Rigdon. “If you have any billing issues, she always goes the extra mile to get them resolved. I enjoy talking with her about our pets and how they rule our homes.”
