EATONTON, Ga. — Putnam Christian Outreach Inc. (PCOI) just won’t stop making an impact. They have claimed 2021 as their year of innovation, and their giveback programs continue to provide aid and care to the local community and surrounding area. PCOI decided to focus their latest giveback effort on education and students, recognizing those who have the most valuable jobs: teaching our future generations.

“Every year, teachers are forced to dip into their own personal finances in order to purchase necessary classroom supplies,” said PCOI Executive Director Vanessa Jackson. “Our non-profit decided to step up and embrace the Pre-K teachers at Putnam County Primary School with a program called ‘Pre-K We Care.’ To start, PCOI donated $1,500 to purchase important supplies for Pre-K classrooms. We then approached other community leaders, who joined in our efforts to show our Pre-K teachers that we care about their efforts and sacrifices in a big way. Tri-County EMC donated $2,000 to the ‘Pre-K We Care’ initiative, and All Angels Episcopal Church donated $500 to the cause.”

Dr. Francia Rodgers, principal of Putnam County Primary School, accepted the donation with profound gratitude. “This kind of

financial and spiritual support is crucial for our teachers, as they continue their noble efforts to educate our children,” beamed Rodgers.
