Inducting new members is always a time of great joy for an organization. The Greene County Toastmasters Club is no exception.

In a recent celebratory ceremony Vice President of Membership, Kris Mapp, inducted their two newest members, J.D. Dirkschneider and Paul Jacobs to a rousing round of cheers and applause.

Both Dirkschneider and Jacobs already belong to Toastmasters in their home areas and have joined Greene County Toastmasters because of the fun and fellowship experienced at these meetings.

Zoom meetings have allowed people from all different parts of the world to become members of multiple Toastmasters Clubs.

How exciting is that?

Toastmasters is a ‘Learn by Doing’ organization where members proceed at their own pace. Whether you’re new to giving speeches or are a seasoned speaker, Toastmasters will help you hone your skills. Are you terrified of speaking to a group? The group provides the mentor and tools for you to take baby steps to your comfort level. Are you already a seasoned speaker? We will give you a platform to polish your skills and practice your speeches before giving them!

Membership is open to anyone 18 or older who is interested in improving their speaking and leadership abilities. The group meets the second and fourth Tuesdays, at Lakeside Church in Greensboro, however, meetings are on Zoom for the current time.

Guests are always welcomed and encouraged. For more information, including the Zoom link call President Betty Liedtke at 706-991-5387.
