As a follow-up to the highly successful jet ski raffle, Oconee Regional Humane Society conducted in the spring, the fall fundraiser has been announced.

Two popular Pedego electric bikes will be raffled off with tickets selling for $200 each. Only 250 tickets will be sold and there will be two drawings for the bikes. Sales begin on Sept. 4, with the drawing to be held on Oct. 30.

Hello Fun is Pedego’s slogan and according the Pedego Lake Oconee, owner, Mike Meehan, the electric bike craze has hit Lake Country with brisk sales in the business’ first year.   Meehan has graciously donated the bikes for this raffle.

Pedego electric bikes allow riders to go from couch potatoes to fun seekers, which can be life-changing! Navigating the steep hills in our area can be daunting for many bike lovers, but with Pedego’s pedal assist technology and throttle, cyclists get the help they need to make the ride safe and enjoyable.

ORHS Executive Director, Josh Comstock, is excited with the prospects of another successful raffle.

“While Covid has caused us to re-think some of our traditional fundraising options, we believe this Pedego raffle will help us tremendously in reaching our 2021 goals. These funds will certainly be put to good use by the shelter. So far this year, ORHS was able to care for and place over 250 dogs and cats into adoptive homes. The cost for medical care and food for each of these pets is approximately $300.
