ON THE MARKET: Transformation

Transformation is a normal activity that occurs in our everyday lives.   

We make responsive adjustments when we want to improve something. Then, someday we may have to make a transformative adjustment.   

This adjustment may be more permanent and bring a big change to our lives.  

We find that one of the biggest transformations many people will encounter in their lives is buying a new home, selling their home and sometimes more traumatic is relocating. These are all lifestyle transformations. 

The real estate industry has seen many transformations over the years. 

  1. Working at Home. The clients who are of working age are many times looking for larger homes. In our hi-tech world, working at home is more feasible for many buyers.   
  2. We are seeing the baby boomer generation relocating to live closer to their children.  
  3. Many clients are finding it challenging to buy a home they can afford or the home that fits their needs. Lack of inventory is at an all time low.  
  4. With inflation hitting the real estate market hard, many are limited to buying, even though the interest rate is at an all time low.  
  5. We are seeing, especially in newly built homes, a whole new trend in building and furnishings. Today’s potential buyers are looking for the following features, such as outdoor covered patios, equipped with fireplaces, outdoor grilling areas and televisions. We are fortunate to live in one of the most beautiful states that allows us to enjoy the outdoors year- round.  
  6. Communication is another change that is seeing vast changes. You can travel to any place in the world and still take diligent care of your clients. Transactions, whether you are buying or selling, can all be done with a touch of a button to sign all documents.   Texting and emails are all there to help expedite matters in a speedy manner. This technology also provides all parties a record of all communication.   
  7. Today, we can locate any property by map quest or just requesting on our phone to take us directly to our destination.   
  8. Lending institutions can supply us with our approval letters within a brief time through their up-to-date technology.   Today it is important to attach an approval letter to an Offer to Purchase contract. This gives the seller extra insurance that the buyer has the means to buy.

These are only a few of the Transformations that we are seeing in real estate.  

Transformation and change in our life is good. Changes may constrain some, and for others it may open a whole new out-look on life. 

Roll with the punches, but always stick to your beliefs. Love your creator, yourself and family.
