’TIs the season! This time of the year is always so wonderful. My favorite part is the lights and decorations that fill the homes. It brings a sort of warmth and homeyness to every room. This sort of at home feeling that comes with watching a movie with the Christmas tree lit, a candle burning and your loved ones by your side is something that is cherished by many. 

This sort of warmth is something that can be felt all season long at home, but there are many ways to feel it with friends and other loved ones as well. At The Plaza, we have a couple of opportunities to be surrounded by the cheer and comfort of the season. 

Just last night, Christmas on the Avenue took place on The Plaza’s stage. Songs were sung, candles were held and friendships were celebrated within the audience. With tradition comes connection and the audience at last night’s show enjoyed sharing in this community holiday tradition. 

Next, The Plaza is hosting a Christmas party after the parade. Christmas at The Plaza is going to be a blast for kids of all ages. Crafts will be made, photos will be taken with Santa and lots of cheer will abound in The Plaza walls — just what the building was made for. 

Dec. 13 and 14, The Plaza is hosting a Celtic Angels Christmas and while I have not personally seen the show, I have heard raving reviews from everyone who attended last year. Seeing videos of the performance brought the same feeling of warmth and Christmas spirit that I remember having seeing The Nutcracker in years past. This is a show that is perfect to get you and your family ready for the holiday season.
