GREENSBORO, Ga. — The Greene County Christmas Stocking fund is a not-for-profit organization with the primary mission to assist Greene County families with children and senior citizens who are in need of a helping hand during the Christmas season. The organization is funded 100% by private donations and provides food, clothing, and toys to approximately 300 children and 200 senior citizens across all of Greene county during the holiday season.  The Stocking fund was the recipient of the 2021 Greene County Chamber “Unsung Hero Award.” 

This year Hargray provided a $3,000 donation to the Greene County Christmas Stocking fund. Hargray is happy to lend a hand and make this holiday season a little brighter for some local families. Hargray is committed to strengthening and supporting the Lake Oconee community, not only through communication products and services but also through supporting local non-profits like the Stocking Fund. The local team is passionate about giving back to the community where they live, work, and strive to make a positive impact.
