“We originally set the monetary donation to $5 per item but we reassessed after seeing the need this year and upped it to $10,” said Jay Dell of J.V. Dell, P.C.

The $2400 monetary donation from J.V. Dell, P.C was split between three organizations, Greene County Empty Stocking Fund, Lake Oconee Area Builders Association Christmas Outreach and the Greene County Food Pantry.

“We can’t thank our community enough for their generosity. This is something we started last year and had such a huge success, we decided to make it an annual event” says Jay.

The Greene County Christmas Stocking Fund/Toys for Tots and LOABA Christmas Outreach provide food, clothing and toys for hundreds of children and senior citizens in the area. The Greene County Food Pantry, in previous years, has served over 5,500 families with each family receiving nutritionally sound assortment of canned goods, box dinners, rice, beans, pasta, cereal, fruit, meat, and bread, in quantities large enough to provide for a few meals every month.
