Barry and Shirley Richardson of Boiler and Steam Performance generously donated $50,000 to the Lake Oconee Youth Alliance.

B&S Performance is based in Greensboro. They design, build and install boiler and steam systems for corrugated box plants. They have been headquartered in Greensboro for 18 years.

The Richardson’s cited several reasons for their donation to LOYA. First, LOYA is a local 501c3 charity that awards scholarships and assistance to graduates from Greene and Putnam counties. LOYA is run by volunteers and 99% of all donations go straight to fulfill student scholarships and assistance programs. The Richardson’s were very impressed with LOYA’s Results. The scholarship students have maintained a cumulative grade point average of 3.6 and a 96% college retention rate. LOYA has served 29 students with College Scholarships and 67 students with College Assistance.

Barry and Shirley have always focused on local causes and consider it a blessing to be able to give back to the local community.
