Tyler Wallace awarded the Charles and Alla Campbell Endowed Tech Promise Scholarship

At the recent Putnam County High School Awards Night, Tyler Wallace, valedictorian of the Class of 2022 and son of Brad and Tammy Wallace, was awarded the Charles and Alla Campbell Endowed Tech Promise Scholarship. 

Wallace excelled in academics and was a leader in school and community organizations. He was on the PCHS A honor role all four years. He received a UGA Certificate of Merit, was a Commended Student by the National Merit Scholarship Program and was a Rotary Club Student of the Month. He was System STAR Student in his senior year. 

He ranked in the top 3% of students taking the SAT. He earned scores of 4 or 5 in all AP courses. He was member of Beta Club, National Honor Society, Key Club International, FMB Junior Board and the Georgia Writers Museum Inaugural Junior Board. He was the state champion in Mathematical Applications at the Georgia SkillsUSA State Convention. He was a graphic designer in the PCHS Graphics Department and a technology intern in the Technology Department. He set up the student section at home football games and appeared as the school’s mascot at each football game. He was a volunteer in the monthly food distribution with Putnam Christian Outreach. His academic performance and school and community service activities make him an exceptionally well-rounded individual.

The Charles and Alla Campbell Endowed Tech Promise Scholarship was established in 2016 to recognize exceptional students who graduate from Brantley, Glynn, Greene, Morgan, and Putnam counties.  The scholarship, valued at over $28,000 per year, covers all school expenses for 4 years of college at Georgia Tech. Tyler plans to major in Computational Media at Georgia Tech.
