Global Samaritans announces the 11th annual Concert at the Corry House to be held on Friday, Oct. 21
The Swingin’ Medallions will perform this year. This band has been a Southern tradition since 1962. Their music is indeed timeless, effectively blending the sounds and music of yesterday and today. They have performed throughout the nation in thousands of venues. Their diverse repertoire has made them overwhelming favorites among all age groups.
The public is invited to this special evening of toe tapping music on the beautiful grounds of The Corry House!
Global Samaritans, founded by Drs. Bo and Ruby Cheves of Greene County in 1997, is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to showing God’s love by enhancing the physical and spiritual well-being of the people in Southern Zambia.
Global Samaritans includes a children’s home, secondary school and pastors conference center located just outside of Livingstone, Zambia. From its base at the children’s home, Global Samaritans also operates three commercial well-drilling rigs providing water to villages that do not currently have access to clean water.
This year marks the 20th year of the children’s home!
Orphanage Administrator, Mirriam Konga, is visiting the U.S. for the first time and will be sharing news from Zambia.
The venue opens at 5 p.m. Dinner will be served prior to the concert which begins at 7 p.m. Dinner, desserts and beverages will be available for purchase at the venue, or purchase dinner tickets online in advance. The Curio Market will be open featuring handmade Zambian crafts and you won’t want to miss the silent auction.
All proceeds benefit Global Samaritans Children’s Home in Zambia.
Tickets are: $25 for lawn seats (bring your favorite chair or blanket); $40 for reserved seating ($300 for a table of eight).
