GREENSBORO — The Greene County Chamber of Commerce announces the 2022 Annual Awards Dinner, Growing Greene to take place on Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2022, at historic Festival Hall. Join the Greene County Chamber of Commerce to celebrate our thriving community with Keynote Speaker Jim Baker, of Baker & Lassiter; Developer of Oconee Towne Center (Home Depot & Chick-fil-A.) Cocktails will begin at 6 p.m., followed by dinner catered by Kersey Catering and a presentation of Awards will conclude the event at 8 p.m.

This year’s award categories are as follows: 

·       Heartbeat Award (This is the business that is always stepping up to serve/ support.)

·       Innovation Award (This is the business that is forward thinking and pivots as needed.)

·       Rookie of the Year (This is a new business that has made a splash during their first 1-2 years of business.)

·       Mickey Channell Citizen of the Year (This is an outstanding community leader.)

·       Unsung Hero (This is someone who does little things to make a big difference, even when no one is looking.)
