SURMAN: Why you should see live music

There are thousands of ways to spend a day. Thousands of ways to spend a night. However, some ways are better than others. One of the best ways, in my opinion, to spend time is seeing live music.

From the feeling you get as you enter a venue, to enjoying a song next to your audience neighbor, to seeing how the band interacts on stage, seeing live music is such a treat.

The Plaza brings you many opportunities to see live music, but perhaps one of the most underrated groups that The Plaza has hosted has been Take3 Trio.

Take3 Trio is, at its core, a trio of classically trained musicians. But, the group is so much more than just that.

From the practice rooms at top conservatories, Take3 Trio is formed where pop, rock and classical music intersect. TAKE3 was created by violinist/vocalist, Lindsay Deutsch, Yanni’s featured violin soloist, with whom she has toured throughout most of the 7 continents. Deutsch began her career as a classical soloist, performing concerti with symphony orchestras around the country. Deutsch can be heard throughout Netflix’s popular show, The Witcher and the

NBC series The Thing About Pam. Her performances on these Sony soundtracks reached No. 1 on the Billboard charts and received millions of streams worldwide.

Not only is the founder of Take3 a renown musician, the group as a whole brings top notch entertainment to every stage they perform on. Take3 brings the refinement of a rigorous classical music background and infuses it with rock-star charisma.

You may hear Bach one moment and the next a hit from Imagine Dragons or Willie Nelson. This show is truly something that you have never seen before and we are lucky enough to have this performance right here in Lake Country.

This is a show that you will not want to miss. Join your friends, neighbors and family at The Plaza Nov. 12 at 7 p.m. for an evening you will not forget.

Live music is something special and this show is inspiring, uplifting and something incredible.

Tickets are on sale now at plazacenter.org.

Lyn Romine said it best last year at seeing Take3 for the first time “I was blown away. I feel so uplifted. If you missed tonight’s concert, you missed a good one. They were phenomenal.”
