Matthew Obelgoner and family made the move to Lake Sinclair last April. He and his wife Lauren decided that his former job not longer fit with their growing family’s lifestyle, so they searched for new streams of income that were a better fit.

That search led them to the world of mosquito spraying. They spoke with several franchise options before discovering that Mosquito Hunters.

“I realized I had missed working outdoors, making my own schedule, interacting with customers, and solving their problems so they could enjoy outdoors as well,” Matthew said.

Mosquito Hunters of Macon-Greensboro-Milledgeville offers mosquito treatments to repel and kill mosquitoes in all life forms.

“From egg, to larva, to pupa, to adult, we take care of it all,” Obelgoner said. “If they can’t breed on your property, they won’t be there to bite, as it is only female mosquitoes that bite you because they need a protein in blood to produce eggs.”

The business also offers flea and tick treatments for their customers’ property. Additionally, they will help to educate their customers on what actions they can take to keep insects at bay.

Prices vary based on services.

“The treatments typically start at $67 and can go up from there depending on what your needs are,” Obelgoner said.

The Mosquito Hunters of Macon-Greensboro-Milledgeville team began spraying on March 7.

“We have been told that we are the only company to actually take care of their problems, and the customer base grew rather quickly for our first year open,” he said.

Obelgoner added that the business has built good relationships with several customers in a short time.

“I like it when customers can tell a difference and be able to see our treatments show a result,” Obelgoner said. “From Lauren’s friendly voice on the phone when you call, to the technicians educating the customer and taking care of their problem, I want it to be an experience they can appreciate.”

He said he enjoys educating his employees so that they can educate customers and provide terrific service.

He said he has a passion for his work and enjoys providing customers with great results.

“What keeps me going is my desire to deliver a quality product and be able to take care of my family,” he said. “If you always deliver, no one will feel like they have been taken advantage of, and you will continue to grow.”
