When Chloe Davis was 12 years old, her father was convicted as a serial killer after confessing to murdering a string of teenage girls who had gone missing in their small Louisiana town.

Twenty years later, Chloe seems to finally have her act together. She is a psychologist in private practice in Baton Rouge, and getting ready for her wedding. Then, the dark past comes crashing back when girls in her area start going missing. This is the story setup for New York Times best-selling book, “A Flicker in the Dark,” by Stacy Willingham.

Stacy Willingham will be the featured “Meet the Author” presenter at Georgia Writers Museum in Eatonton on Tuesday, Dec. 6, at 7 p.m. (doors open at 6:30). Tickets are $45 each (or $40 for two or more). The event will feature scrumptious Cajan hors d’oeuvres and specialty drinks.

Email Georgia Writers Museum or www.georgiawritersmuseum.org to register and to pre-order your copy of Stacy’s best-selling book. She will be signing books immediately after her presentation.

Washington Post called “A Flicker in the Dark” “Exceptionally smart, and entertaining.”

The Minneapolis Star-Tribune described it as “a fast-paced read that foretells more coming from this budding author.” NY Times best-selling author Chelsea Cain said of the book, “I have not felt this excited about a thriller in years. I could not put this book down. It’s fabulous.” And Publisher’s Weekly described Willingham as “a writer to watch.”

Her thriller has been adapted into a TV series with the filmmaking machine, A24, and Oscar winning actress Emma Stone’s production company, Fruit Tree. The book has been translated into over 30 languages.

A native of Charleston, S.C., Stacy Willingham earned her BA degree in magazine journalism from the University of Georgia and an MFA in Writing from the Savannah College of Art and Design. She worked as a copywriter and brand strategist for various marketing agencies before deciding to write fiction full-time. She currently lives in Charleston with her husband, Britt, and her Labradoodle, Mako.
