The Odd Couple” is a classic comedy by Neil Simon that was produced for a long run on Broadway and eventually became a very popular movie. The play opens as a group of guys assembles for cards in the apartment of divorced Oscar Madison. The apartment is a mess, a word that also describes Oscar. Late to arrive is Felix Unger who has just been separated from his wife. Felix is Oscar’s opposite in that Felix is fastidious, depressed, and tense. As the action unfolds, Oscar has had it with Felix, his new house mate because of Felix’s obsession with neatness and cleanliness. Oscar is perfectly happy to be a slob.
