Thillen Education Foundation announces Dave Dollar recipients

GREENSBORO, Ga. — Thillen Education Foundation announced its Dave Dollar recipients at its quarterly assembly on Tuesday, Feb. 14.  Students attending Greene College & Career Academy have the opportunity to earn Dave Dollars during their four years of high school that turn into real dollars upon graduation from Greene County High School. Their purpose is to provide financial assistance to all 450 students. For students continuing their formal education, their earned funds can be applied to expenses associated with beginning college or a certification program. For students beginning their career, the earned funds can be utilized to purchase professional supplies needed to start their career. For students joining the military, their earned funds can be used to purchase needed supplies to begin military service or utilized for continuing education or career startup expenses during or after completing military service.
