GREENSBORO, Ga. — The Greene County Chamber of Commerce is thrilled to welcome First Presbyterian Church as a new member to the Chamber.

As a longstanding institution in the community, First Presbyterian Church has been serving the people of Greene County for over 150 years. The Chamber is confident that First Presbyterian Church will bring valuable insights and community engagement to further strengthen the Chamber’s mission of supporting local businesses and fostering economic prosperity.

To kick off this new partnership, the Greene County Chamber of Commerce and First Presbyterian Church are delighted to announce the upcoming Scottish Heritage Celebration — Kirkin’ of the Tartans — a blessing for all families. This event will take place at 11 a.m. on May 14, at the First Presbyterian Church located at 117 S. Main St., Greensboro. This year’s celebration will not only boast the pageantry of bagpipes of drums and procession of flags and honored guests, but will also feature the unveiling of a new banner. The banner will be the visible symbol of family during the Kirkin’ of the Tartans portion of the service. The event will be open to the public, and everyone is invited to come and experience the Scottish heritage in a lively and engaging atmosphere.

“We look forward to growing even more connected to our community through our affiliation with the Chamber, as we seek to share the good news of Christ in this place,” said the Rev. Meg Jackson Clark.

“We are excited to welcome First Presbyterian Church to the Chamber,” said Mika Mills, president of the Greene Co. Chamber of Commerce. “Their addition as a Chamber member brings a wealth of community engagement and support that will further enhance our efforts to promote local businesses and economic development. We look forward to a successful partnership and a memorable Scottish Heritage Celebration.”
