For the second year in a row – and the first in Class A Division II – Lake Oconee Academy produced a state championship season in boys tennis. The Titans went to the Rome Tennis Center at Berry College Saturday and won three matches against no losses while playing Taylor County in the Georgia High School Association finals. It was the first time the Region 8 champions played outside of their home courts in the state playoffs. The Titans also defeated Georgia Military College Prep, Charlton County and Seminole County on their way to Berry. Seminole was the only team to win a match against LOA in the best-of-5 team format.
