Katherine Reay

EATONTON, Ga. — Are you ready for a nail-biting, on-the-edge-of-your-seat spy novel?

A Shadow in Moscow” is the riveting story of two female spies operating in Moscow during different eras. Katherine Reay’s newest book has everything readers could ever want in a spy novel — suspense, intrigue, compelling characters, exotic settings and gasp-inducing plot twists.

Katherine Reay will be the July “Meet the Author” presenter at the Georgia Writers Museum as she discusses her new book, “A Shadow in Moscow” to be released this month. The event will be held at the museum on Tuesday, July 18 at 11 a.m. and features a progressive brunch.

Catering by will be provided by Russian-born caterer Yelena Bonduryanskaya, owner of Le Bon Cake. Three locations have been selected downtown to host brunch & shopping: Maggie Lane, The Artisans Village and the Eatonton-Putnam Chamber of Commerce.  Following brunch, Katherine will present her new book. The fee is $45 per person (or $40 each for two or more tickets). Tables of six will be available for $200 (a $20 savings).

Reay is the national bestselling and award-winning author of several novels, including “Dear Mr. Knightley,”The Printed Letter Bookshop” and “The London House.” She holds a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree from Northwestern University. She worked in marketing and development before returning to graduate school for a master of theological studies. Moves to Texas, England, Ireland and Washington left that degree unfinished as Katherine spent her time unpacking, raising kids, volunteering, writing, and exploring new storylines and new cities.

She currently lives outside Chicago. When not writing, she hosts the What the Dickens Book Club on Facebook and chats with authors and booksellers weekly @The10MinuteBookTalk on Instagram. And — if it’s sunny and she’s in Montana — as she also loves fly fishing and hiking.

The novel allows readers to gain not only a better understanding of the world of espionage, but a deeper perspective on Russia. No one sees the truth like a spy. And, when your top contender is a top spy for an opposing nation, it is doubly thrilling.

Publisher’s Weekly raved about her new book. “In her nail-biting latest… Reay builds a immersive world behind the Iron Curtain, full of competing loyalties and a constant, chilling sense of paranoia. Readers will be enthralled.”

The Georgia Writers Museum is located at 109 S. Jefferson St. in Eatonton.
