Lake Oconee Elks Lodge donates to Second Harvest

On Saturday, July 15, Lake Oconee Elks Lodge donated $3,000 to Second Harvest during their monthly food distribution. Lake Oconee Elks Lodge has partnered with the Rotary Club of Greene and Putnam Counties to distribute food to those in need in Greene and surrounding counties in an effort to eliminate hunger. Each month the volunteers meet at the First United Methodist Church in Greensboro from 7:30 a.m. to about 9:30 a.m. to hand out grocery bags filled with canned goods, produce and meats to those in need.
