Knights of Columbus installs 2023-24 officers

The Knights of Columbus Council 13808 from Christ Our King and Savior Catholic Church held its 2023-2024 officer installation ceremony on July 15 at the church. Officiating was FDD Ken Weber, filling in for GA State District Deputy, Mark McMullen.

During his acceptance remarks, incoming Grand Knight Mike Dutton thanked the officer team and the Council membership for the sacrifice they make everyday to make Council 13808 one of the best councils in the State of Georgia.  He reinforced that becoming a member of the Knights of Columbus is about engaging with each other, the parish and community to make a difference.  In closing, he thanked outgoing Grand Knight Chris Wolf for his many contributions to the Council during his two-year term.  A reception luncheon followed the ceremonies in the church social hall for the new slate of officers and their guests.

The Knights of Columbus is the world’s largest Catholic fraternal organization with more than 2 million members.  Locally, Pope John Paul II Council 13808 located at Christ Our King and Savior Church, has 180 members. During 2022, Council 13808 donated over $82,000 to various charitable organizations in Greene, Putnam and Hancock counties with over 22,000 service hours from their volunteers.
