Saturday night was more than alright for the crowd at The Plaza Arts Center as Tokyo Joe took the stage as Elton John.

Spanning decades, Elton John’s music has proven to be virtually timeless with generation after generation becoming fans.

Covering hits like “Tiny Dancer”, “The Circle of Life”, “Rocket Man”, “I’m Still Standing”, “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road” and so many more, Tokyo Joe brought the charisma, voice and piano skills of Elton John to the Lake Country.

Starting out in the classic black and white tuxedo, the piano man of the evening, took the stage and the crowd fell in love immediately.

Followed by several costume changes including the famous rhinestoned Dodgers, Tokyo Joe definitely did his part in getting the crowd engaged.

Patrons as young as just nine years old sat in the audience and enjoyed what audience members called a true “rock and roll concert.”

The evening wrapped with fans getting to take pictures with Tokyo Joe, which created a truly memorable night for all.

Next up at The Plaza is staple for the Lake Country — A1A: The Official and Original Jimmy Buffett Tribute Band. A1A will take the stage outside at The Plaza Sept. 23 at 7:30 p.m.
