Annual Taste of Eatonton this weekend

EATONTON, Ga. — The Taste of Eatonton returns Saturday, Sept. 9, to the Plaza Arts Center, presenting a unique opportunity to try the town’s finest cuisines while celebrating the community’s spirit of togetherness. 

Organizers are preparing for close to 15 vendors of different varieties. 

The fun starts at 4 p.m. and includes

  • Two musical acts throughout the event, beginning with Dave Tebo and ending with Cash’s Juke Joint. 

  • There will be a 50/50 raffle.

  • There will be a car show for the duration of the event.

  • There will be a photo booth camper where attendees can get their photos taken with fun props and receive a physical 4×6 of their photos. 

  • There will be an auction for various travel experiences, including the following: “Disney World Wonder” – An experience for six guests for four nights at a family-style condo with access to resort amenities and a one day park pass for each guest. “Into the Wild” – two guests and three nights in a luxury glamping tent at your choice of three national parks: Grand Canyon, Yellowstone or Acadia. Includes on-site dining and activities dependent on the chosen park. “Surf & Turf” – 2 guests and 3-5 nights, with a choice to stay in St. Lucia, Tulum, or the Great Smoky Mountains. General admission tickets can be purchased ahead of time for $20 at tasteofeatonton.com and $25 at the gate on the day of the event. General admission to this event includes 15 food tickets that can be used to purchase “tastes” from the various vendors. Additional food tickets can be purchased inside the event for $1 each.

This year there is a unique, fun t-shirt for the event. Tickets can be bundled with the t-shirt for $35 (only pre-sale). Shirts will be on sale for $20 at the event.
