GREENSBORO, Ga. — Greene County Habitat for Humanity is excited to announce the fifth Lake Oconee Showcase of Homes, featuring the impressive architecture, interior design and landscape of some of Reynolds Lake Oconee’s most impressive private residences. This annual favorite has become well known for exclusive home tours, an exceptional online auction, and other surprise elements throughout the event. The showcase will be held this fall, Saturday, Oct. 21, and tickets are available for purchase beginning in September.

“It is an honor to partner with Showcase of Homes once again and we anticipate record numbers for this event due to the overwhelming support of this generous local community,” said Rabun Neal, president at Reynolds.”

Since the commencement of Showcase of Homes in 2018, Greene County Habitat for Humanity has constructed 20 homes for local families; a direct result of the graciousness of Reynolds homeowners, the overwhelming generosity of sponsors and donors, combined with the tenacity and hard work of the Showcase committee.

“I am most proud of the hard work of our Showcase Committee volunteers who enable over 92% of thefundsraised to go directly to support Habitat for Humanity’s mission of building homes in partnership with future homeowners. This year’s Showcase goal is to raise sufficient funds to build 3-4 homes in 2024,” said committee chair Shauna Winters.

Greene County Habitat currently has 110 families interested in becoming Habitat homeowners, so the need for Sponsors, donations and volunteers is greater than ever.
