The Georgia Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) Champion Award honors exceptional individuals or entities in Georgia who are dedicated advocates for CASA, demonstrate an unwavering commitment to CASA advocacy, and make a positive impact on advancing the CASA mission within their community.

This year’s deserving recipient was Christine “Chris” Arians, co-founder of the Arians Family Foundation. Arians was nominated by Ocmulgee CASA.  In 2013, Chris and her husband Bruce established the Arians Family Foundation, aiming not only to provide financial support to CASA, but also to inspire others to advocate for children facing abuse or neglect.

“Champion is such a fitting description of Chris when it comes to CASA,” said Ocmulgee CASA Executive Director Elaine Odom. “She’s more than just a supporter, she’s more than a donor, and she’s more than an advocate. She truly believes in everything CASA stands for and has made it her mission to ensure as many people as possible learn about CASA. Truly, she is an ambassador.”
