On Saturday, March 9, the Lake Oconee Academy chorus sang the national anthem just before the first pitch at the UGA vs. Northern Colorado men’s baseball game in Athens. The chorus consisted of fifth through eighth grade students. Under the direction of Cathy Williamson and Amy Reber, the students performed a beautiful a capella version of the anthem at Foley Field. Students and their families were invited to stay for the game afterwards to cheer on the Bulldogs. According to Cathy Williamson, “This was yet another incredible opportunity for our students. We are so grateful to the University of Georgia for extending the invitation to perform.”
