Veterans enjoying the cookout

Lake Oconee Elks Lodge volunteers went to the Georgia War Veterans Home in Milledgeville May 24 and held a cookout outside under the pavilion at the home. Lodge members grilled up more than 100 hamburgers for the vets along with sides and ice tea. It was a little warm but the rain held off until everyone was fed and all was packed up. It was really nice to visit with the veterans.
