GREENSBORO, Ga. — Boaters and lake enthusiasts can once again enjoy the cold beverages, delicious food, live entertainment and this year the King of Pop popsicles being served up at The Boathouse Marina at Harbor Club for the 2024 lake season.

Located on the Richland Creek side of Lake Oconee — known for the lake’s clearest waters — The Boathouse is a vibrant marina and lakefront amenity that features a rustic and inviting restaurant and banquet room.

The restaurant is open to the public Friday to Sunday from 11a.m. to 9p.m., offering walk-up counter service. The restaurant offers beer, wine, mixed drinks and virgin cocktails by the glass, plus packs of sodas and beer to take out.

Featured dishes at The Boathouse include Smash Burgers, peel & eat shrimp, a fish Reuben sandwich, pulled pork nachos and key lime pie.

There is seating indoor in the restaurant, or outdoor on picnic benches. Throw down a blanket and have a picnic on the lakefront Grand Lawn. Or just jump in your boat and get back on the lake. There is also the chance to place a take-out order between 11a.m. and 8p.m. by calling 706-999-9717.

On many Saturdays The Boathouse will offer live entertainment, from acoustic guitar to some of the lake’s favorite bands.

For boating and water sports lovers The Boathouse marina features a boat ramp, community dock and marine fuel pumps. The restaurant also sells life jackets, rope and other boating necessities.

The marina’s dry boat storage buildings are available to both Harbor Club residents and those who live outside of the community. Ultimately, as many as 300 boat storage spaces may be available, making The Boathouse the largest marina on Lake Oconee. The marina operations are open year-round.
