The Pickleball Youth Camp was a pilot program, First Serve, initiated by Greene County and presented to the USA Pickleball GA Ambassadors this spring to provide emphasis on Respect, Integrity, Sportsmanship and Etiquette (RISE) that is built into the game. The first camp was held at the Greene County Recreation Center in June. The players mastered the RISE playing skills while developing the physical skills of this fascinating game that is capturing the imagination of the country. Alice Lincoln, Kathy Wardlaw and Coach Ray Brindley organized and conducted the program’s inaugural event. Additional camps are projected for the summer and interested parents should call the Greene County Recreation Center 706-486-2251.
