StorytellerDeborah Strahorn highlighted her tales for Storytime at the Green County Library recently by involving the children using fingerplay, song rhythm and rhyme.First, they helped ‘Black Cat’ choose colors to change his life, only to find he was happier the way he began.Next, they chose what foods ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar’ needed to eat before falling asleep and awakening as a beautiful butterfly. Strahorn then passed out colorful African stick puppets (monkey, zebra, hippo, snake, elephant and lion) to the children to help tell her tale of ‘Jabari’ in the jungle.Saturday brought students of all ages to the library to celebrate the summer with a Back to School Bash.
