BankSouth welcomes Courtney Allen as director of Learning and Development

GREENSBORO, Ga. — BankSouth, a leading financial institution serving the state of Georgia, has announced the appointment of Courtney Allen as director of Learning and Development.

Allen brings with her over 20 years of banking experience, most recently with Renasant Bank where she began as branch manager before moving into the role of Development Manager/VP of Customer Experience.

Prior to starting her career, she earned a bachelor of arts in history from the University of Georgia. She later earned her master’s degree in Learning, Leadership& Organizational Development in 2023 also from the University of Georgia.

She is married to Scot Allen, a special education teacher, and they have one daughter, Madeline, who will be starting her journey as a Bulldog in January. An Athens resident, she enjoys spending her free time with her dogs, nurturing her love for plants, and cheering on UGA football. While she doesn’t play any instruments, her passion for music led her to an unforgettable experience of singing at Carnegie Hall.
