Exchange Bank employees have donated $1,600 to United Way of Central Georgia, providing essential support to this organization’s impactful community programs.

The funds were raised through the Exchange Bank C.A.R.E.s Fund, an employee-driven initiative that allows staff to contribute a portion of their paychecks to support local nonprofits dedicated to helping those in need.

“At Exchange Bank, our employees are committed to making a difference in the community. This contribution to United Way of Central Georgia represents our collective commitment to addressing issues that matter most to our neighbors,” said John Child, CEO of Exchange Bank. “We are honored to support United Way as they continue to provide assistance with basic needs, mental health resources, and other essential services.”

United Way of Central Georgia plays a vital role in disrupting the region’s poverty cycle by addressing long-standing challenges like limited child care, low literacy rates, and inadequate access to affordable housing. Through their data-driven approach, United Way works closely with nonprofits, local businesses, and community leaders to identify service gaps and ensure the coordination of resources, maximizing the positive impact across Central Georgia.

If you or someone you know is struggling, United Way’s 2-1-1 hotline offers immediate access to resources, connecting individuals and families to critical services that can make a difference.

Exchange Bank’s donation is part of a broader commitment to strengthening Central Georgia through initiatives that promote education, health, and economic stability. Through the Exchange Bank C.A.R.E.s Fund, employees have continued to support nonprofits that address local challenges and improve quality of life.
