Over the past several years Coldwell Banker Lake Oconee Realty/Lake Country has collected over 10 tons of food.

This year they would like to set a record. Monetary donations will be accepted and allows the purchase of three times the amount of food, as well as non-perishable food items such as rice, pasta, canned vegetables and fruits.Donations will be divided between Putnam, Greene and Morgan County helping the tri-county area with replenishing their banks for the Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday season.

Greene County currently assists 350-plus qualifying families once a month. In addition, these families are provided a turkey and all the trimmings at Thanksgiving and a ham and all the trimmings at Christmas. Putnam County assists 300-plus families that receive an estimated 40 to 50 pounds of food each month. Morgan County assists approximately 200 families with a box of food each week.

If you would like to donate food, drop boxes are located at our office on Linger Longer Rd and on Main 
Street in downtown Madison.  

Monetary contributions (preferred) may also be dropped off at these locations and directed to the county of choice: Greene County Food Pantry, The Caring Place (Morgan County) or Putnam County Life Source.
