The holiday magic continues in December with Santa’s Scavenger Scour, a festive scavenger hunt running from Dec. 1to 24. Each day, participants can search for hand-painted ornaments featuring Santas and Grinches crafted by local artist Nicole Chillemi. Daily clues to the ornament locations will be posted on downtown Greensboro’s Facebook and Instagram pages and announced on DOCK 103.9 radio between 8 and 9 a.m. All ornaments will be hidden outdoors in plain sight around downtown, and the first person to find an ornament will take home a unique holiday keepsake.

The scavenger hunt provides a wonderful way to explore the charm of Greensboro’s downtown while enjoying the festive season. Visitors can hunt for ornaments, shop for the perfect holiday gifts, and savor local dining options.

On Dec. 6, the festivities continue with downtown Greensboro’s Lighting of the Tree. This magical evening features live music, visits with Santa, marshmallow roasting, and shopping with local merchants. The event begins at 6 p.m. and promises to be a joyful celebration for all ages.
