Our Father’s Kitchen hosts holiday meal

Our Father’s Kitchen hosted their annual holiday meal on Nov. 30. The menu was traditional holiday fare with13 turkeys smoked by Jay Reber’s Lakeside Church Grill Team, homemade cornbread dressing, prepared by Chef Susan Alberti, and all the other traditional sides. Our Father’s Kitchen is a community ‘soup kitchen’ which serves lunch every Saturday from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Family Life Center of First Methodist Church Greensboro-Lake Oconee. It was originated during COVID by four downtown churches (Episcopal, Presbyterian, Historic Springfield Baptist and Methodist) as well as the Rotary Club of Greene and Putnam counties.
