GREENSBORO, Ga. — The Rotary Club of Greene and Putnam Counties brightened the Christmas season for two deserving families by adopting them for the holidays. This act of kindness brought joy and relief to one family in Greene County and another in Putnam County.

Rotarian Bria Brown, alongside her dedicated team of “elves” from St. Mary’s Good Samaritan Hospital, selected and purchased gifts tailored to each family’s needs and wishes. The gifts were then delivered by Rotarian Laura Poyner and her family, who ensured the items reached the families in time to make their Christmas morning extra special.

“We’re honored to be part of making this season brighter for these families,” said Brown. “Seeing the smiles and knowing that we’ve made a difference is what the Rotary spirit is all about.”

The Rotary Club’s commitment to “Service Above Self continues to make a positive impact in the community. By adopting these families, the Club has provided not only material support but also the gift of hope and joy during the holiday season.

“It’s heartwarming to know that Christmas morning will be so much more meaningful for these families,” said Poyner. “This is why we do what we do—to serve and bring happiness to those who need it most.”
