Tucker, Hackinson join Neighbors Helping Neighbors Board of Directors

Neighbors Helping Neighbors, a 501(c)3 non-profit serving Greene and Putnam counties, is proud to announce the addition of Greene County Board of Education Chairman Otho Tucker and Lake Oconee Life Founder Holly Hackinson to its Board of Directors.

“We are excited about the addition of these community leaders to our already strong and committed board,” said NHN President Bob Massey. “They will help position us to provide a “hand up, not a handout” to more people who need support in Lake Country.”

Otho Tucker is well known for starting the Lake Oconee Academy in 2007. He served as LOA’s CEO until he retired following the 2022-2023 school year. With a

Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of North Carolina and a long list of education related experience prior to LOA, Tucker continued his commitment to children by being elected in November 2024 as chairman of the Greene County Board of Education.

Holly Hackinson moved to Lake Country in 2013, working at the Eatonton-Putnam County Chamber of Commerce. In 2018 she founded Lake Oconee Life and Lake Sinclair Life, online platforms dedicated to showcasing the vibrant lifestyle, events, and local businesses in the Lake Oconee and Lake Sinclair communities. Her digital knowledge and creative expertise bring smart marketing and increased awareness to NHN.

Neighbors Helping Neighbors serves the 7,500+ people in Greene and Putnam counties who live below the poverty level, making critical Home Repairs, finding family Transportation and providing Beds For Children who don’t have their own.
