Early Christians observed “a season of penitence and fasting” in preparation for the Paschal feast. The season now known as Lent (from an Old English word meaning “spring,” the time of lengthening days) has a long history. The season of Lent extends for 40days from Ash Wednesday through Holy Saturday (omitting Sundays).

During the Lenten season Redeemer will offer weekly healing services on Wednesdays at noon. Those services will be March 12, 19 and 26, and April 2 and 9.

Then, again on April 2 Redeemer will have a Celtic Communion Service with Labyrinth Walk in the parking lot of Alligoods, in front of the City of Greensboro government offices.
