Spring is just around the corner. It is that time of the year when Georgia comes alive. The flowers are budding. Bird’s sing, and the sun is bright. 

As spring starts to blossom, people will start thinking of selling their homes. If you are in the market to sell your home, we would like to offer you some information and tips on selling your home.

1. Buyers want to get settled before the next school year. They will start looking in the spring as it may take them a few months to close and get acclimated to the new neighborhood.
2. The weather is warmer, and the days are longer. It is easier to move with the weather cooperating. 
3. More buyers mean more potential offers. There is nothing better than a seller having multiple offers. Spring is the time this will most likely occur.

Selling your home is a major decision.  But, once you have decided to sell, you should get started now. Why? It will take you some time to get your home in tip-top condition. Once it is listed, we are averaging about two months to sell. You are looking at early summer to close (providing everything goes well). This is perfect timing. 

Here are some tips from us when listing your home:

The entrance to your home is the first impression and you only get one chance. The front door should be in good condition. If the front porch warrants it, cozy lawn furniture and flowers will be an indication of what they can expect when they step inside to view your home.     

Always make sure you concentrate on having the kitchen and bathrooms updated and clutter free. You do not have to spend a fortune on this.  Women tend to focus on the kitchen area more than any other room in the home. Even a vase of fresh flowers will give your home that warm feeling.

Make sure if it is summertime, have the temperature cool and in the winter or fall have a comfortable warm home.  If you have a fireplace, and it is the appropriate time of the year, have a fire for warmth and ambiance.
