GREENSBORO, Ga. — Second Harvest will host its monthly food distribution on Saturday, October 18, from 8 to 9 a.m., or until supplies run out. The event will take place at First Methodist Church Greensboro-Lake Oconee, located at 202 W. Broad St. in downtown Greensboro.

In addition to providing groceries for individuals and families in need, the Lake Oconee Humane Society will also be onsite to distribute pet food and supplies.

All community members in need are encouraged to attend. Volunteers are always welcome — come lend a hand and make a difference in our community.

Thanks to the September BackPack Sponsors of the Month, Chris and Susan Helmrath, for helping ensure local elementary students supported by Second Harvest have nourishing meals over the weekend.
