“Books are uniquely portable magic,” wrote bestselling author Stephen King.

Georgia Writers Museum will host a renowned author who writes in magic.

Jennifer Moorman will be the February Meet the Author presenter on her new book, “The Charmed Library,” happening at the museum on Feb. 3  at 7 p.m. (doors open at 6:30 p.m.). Tickets are $45 each ($40 each for multiple tickets) and will include a gourmet meal book-themed by Chef Brent. “The Charmed Library” invites the reader into a world where words come alive, secrets are steeped in magic, and lives are transformed, one story at a time.

Moorman is the USA Today bestselling author of “The Vanishing of Josephine Reynolds,” “The Magic All Around,” the beloved “Mystic Water” series, and “Strawberry Shortcake” children’s books. A former senior editor with HarperCollins, Moorman brings a rich, cross-disciplinary creative background to her writing. When she’s not writing, Moorman can be found testing new recipes, chasing rainbows, or stargazing from her magic house in Nashville, Tennessee. Email Georgia Writers Museum (www.georgiawritersmuseum.org) to register for the magical experience at the museum.
