The homes for this year are unique and full of wonderful ideas for tour attendees to take with them for renovating and decorating their own homes. Here are just a few of the features. Angel Pond Cottage has a large sleeping porch with a full sized hanging bed for serious napping and a stacked stone fireplace beckoning one to relax and enjoy the beautiful views of Creek Club’s number 16 tee box and fairway. Throughout the home there is a feeling of comfort, beauty, and casual elegance. Lakeside Haven is a beautiful lakeside home with an open floor concept allowing for views of the dining room with its torn paper faux wall covering and the great room with its coffered copper faux painted ceiling and stacked stone archway between the great room and kitchen area. The home is a wonderful collaboration of homeowner, builder, and designer and a peaceful haven for all who live there and visit.
Hidden Treasure features a great room with twenty-foot ceilings and Jerusalem stone floors. Elegant floor-to-ceiling drapes grace the windows throughout the main level. One of the many architectural features in the house is a two-story office/library. The lower level is perfect for family and guests to enjoy a drink or two at the beautiful custom mahogany bar. Wonderful architectural features are everywhere throughout this beautiful art filled home. Peaceful Retreat’s open floor plan greets guests with a formal dining area with custom bar, a hearth room with wood beam ceiling, a kitchen with large granite island and a dining area with custom “candle” chandelier. The lower level has a wine cellar with table and chairs sitting beneath a one hundred year old lead glass tiffany style light. The outside sitting area has a stacked stone fireplace to keep guests warm on cool days and nights as they enjoy the beautiful views of Lake Oconee. Wooded Lakeview Lodge is a complete renovation of an older lake home. Guests will marvel at the “before and “after” pictures. The dramatic, iron deer chandelier wows visitors as they enter the open floor plan of the lower level with fabulous big water views that continue into the kitchen. The ceiling beams in the warm and inviting chocolate brown great room were taken from an old 1920’s mill in North Carolina. The master bedroom’s ceiling is hand painted cypress wood and the master bath features a rare basket weave travertine tile floor. Touring this home is like flipping through a decorator’s magazine with each room providing different ideas for visitors to take with them.
