Rotarians learn about SBDC Network

Rotarians learn more about the Georgia Small Business Development Corporation from Katie Thomason.

The Georgia SBDC Network, provides low cost training and free consulting services including assistance with business plan development, market analysis and marketing strategies, financial analysis, compliance and legal issues, and preparation of loan submissions for individuals who want to start their own businesses or expand an existing one.

Katie Thomason is a May 2010 graduate of the University of Georgia with a degree in Agricultural Business. She has been with the Athens Small Business Development Center since April 2011. Prior to working for the SBDC, she was an intern with AgGeorgia Farm Credit in Royston where she learned about financial services, credit analysis, risk management, venture capital, agricultural futures, marketing, appraisals, and accounting. Katie handles the marketing of Continuing Education programs, teaches the “Starting Your Own Business” class, and provides support for the Athens SBDC office.
