Linger Longer Steakhouse coming to Ritz

A luxurious retreat overlooking Georgia’s stunning Lake Oconee, The Ritz-Carlton Lodge, Reynolds Plantation is pleased to announce that they will open Linger Longer Steakhouse this April. The restaurant is located in the newly rebuilt space at the Oconee Golf Course Clubhouse, which previously housed a bar and grill that closed after a fire in 2009.

The resort’s executive chef, Yann Chupin, is creating a new contemporary American menu that includes comforting classics such as Lobster Bisque with Butter Poached Lobster; Fresh Oysters on the Half-Shell, Raw or Rockefeller; Linger Longer Wedge Salad; Certified Black Angus Steaks, Berkshire Pork and Seafood Cooked Over Georgia Hardwoods; and Chocolate Soufflé. Linger Longer Steakhouse will serve lunch and dinner, as well as a bar menu and handcrafted cocktails.

Inspired by the English Arts & Crafts movement, the restaurant’s new design is handsome, sophisticated and relaxed, and reflects the natural environs of the lakeside setting yet has a fresh, nontraditional look. To that end, interior designer Angela Grande integrated a neutral color palette, brass light fixtures with hand-blown opal glass shades and custom heart pine millwork. Other features include: an open kitchen, high ceilings, a full-height stone fireplace, a curved window wall, two original commissioned paintings and dining chairs inspired by a 40s transitional chair with arms, clean modern lines and upholstered in a textured leather — all of which subtly add drama and richness to the design mix.

“We are excited to welcome guests back to our Oconee Clubhouse venue with a new look and new tempting steakhouse fare,” says Ralph Vick, General Manager for The Ritz-Carlton Lodge.
