Wendy Myers, executive director of the Lake Oconee Area Builders Association (LOABA), recently was the guest speaker at the weekly meeting of the Rotary Club of Greene and Putnam Counties. The LOABA is a local trade organization dedicated to the betterment of the local construction industry and works to serve its members, consumers and the community through education and public service. As the voice of the Lake Oconee construction industry, they are committed to offering opportunities for their membership to improve their ability to conduct business with integrity.
The association is made up of builders, sub-contractors, banks, insurance companies, interior decorators, landscapers, legal and professional services, etc. LOABA strives to bring increased value to every member through networking, education, and governmental affairs.
On March 19, the association will hold “The Big Event,” a home and garden show, to expose the community to the diverse services offered through their many members.
